Liisa D. Carlson – DVM
Liisa D. Carlson, D.V.M., received her veterinary medical degree from the University of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine and was a member of the Veterinary Honor Society Phi Zeta. In 1988, Dr. Carlson returned to Springfield to join her father, Dr. Delbert Carlson, at the Carlson Veterinary Wellness Center. She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, Southwestern Veterinary Medical Association, and a founding member of the Emergency Clinics of Southwest Missouri.
Dr. Carlson is also the author/co-author of the top selling book series: The Dog Owners Home Veterinary Handbook and the Cat owners Home Veterinary Handbook which is available at the office or at Amazon.com.
Dr. Rosana Segovia – Staff Veterinarian
Dr. Segovia moved to the United States from Ecuador in 2008. Dr. Segovia was in Molecular Biology research before starting in the Veterinary field. Dr. Segovia graduated from Veterinary Technology school in 2013, and immediately started Veterinary School at the Ohio State University where she graduated in 2017. Dr. Segovia’s favorite animals include cats and horses. Dr. Segovia doesn’t have any horses in the family yet; but does care for three cats in her home. Dr. Segovia’s hobbies are entertaining her baby boy, and spending time with her husband.
Amy Cochran – Office Manager
Amy has been in the Veterinary field for twenty plus years, and has worked in most areas of the Veterinary hospital. Amy has always loved being a part of a veterinary team and working to help pets live a longer, happier life. Amy is a native to the Springfield area and and resides in Springfield with her husband, Kenny their five children and one grandbaby. Amy has large fur family also, two horses, three dogs and a cat.
Megan – RVT
A 2014 graduate of the veterinary technician program at Jefferson College in Hillsboro, MO. Enjoys being outdoors, spending time with family, and her husband, Dusty. Megan has a dog, named “Dixie”, and a pet guinea pig named “Tundra”.
Kristina Shank – RVT
Kristina has been with us since August 2017. She started in this field at the Emergency Vet Clinic here in Springfield in May 2007 and continued working there for about 4 ½ years. While working there she attended Crowder College in Neosho where she earned her AAS in Veterinary Technology. She received her Veterinary Technician license in 2010. She also has almost five years experience working as a surgery technician under a board certified surgeon. Kristina has three fur babies of her own at home, an Australian shepherd named Jazzmine and two cats, Noah and AnnaBelle.
Christie – Veterinary Assistant
Christie has been with us since 2002. she has more pets than we are able to list in this small amount of space. She has a kind heart and a strong compassion towards caring for animals, this is why she has been such as good fit for our clinic for so many years!
Shelby – Veterinary Assistant
Shelby has been working in the animal care world for 5 years. She loves learning new things and taking care of animals! She has 2 dogs at home Brantley and Nova.
Other than being a great “Vet Assistant”, Shelby is also serving our country in the Army Reserves. Be sure to thank her for serving our country the next time you’re in!
Reghann Kosar – Veterinary Assistant
Reghann has been in the Veterinary field since 1999. Reghann has a passion for pet care and loves to get to know the pets and owners too. When Reghann is not working she is with husband, Justin and their three children, Jackson, Emma, and Alice. Reghann and family absolutely adore their dog Mr. Gus, a three year old French Bulldog.
